Joe stated the purple loosestrife beetles have been released on the eastern shoreline just recently.  We thank Shane Streich for helping with this.  Joe stated he and Shane did notice plants that were there last year are now gone and also those that the beetles did not get to, the stalks were quite high.

Joe stated Chris Hamerla of the Golden Sands, directed this year’s project.  Chris dropped off the pools that the plants were kept in; the bugs for the plants; the netting around the plants; and the pots that the plants are grown in.  All of the items are free for us, we do not pay for any of it.  We tracked all of our volunteer hours.
